Governor Tate Reeves announced the allocation of more than $104 million in grants to 167 rural health projects across Mississippi. The awards are part of the Mississippi Rural Health Transformation Program, funded through the state’s $205.9 million first-year budget.
Reeves said the initiative aims to do more than invest in existing healthcare infrastructure. The goal is to transform how rural residents access care by bringing services closer to home, strengthening local providers and facilities, and leveraging technology and innovation to improve connectivity between patients and providers.
“Today, we are beginning to see that vision become reality,” Reeves said. The grants are expected to modernize and bolster healthcare in rural communities across the state. For a full list of award recipients, visit the governor’s office website.
