Members of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety met with representatives from Catholic Charities to build stronger community relationships. Capitol Police Major Sim Shanks and Major Mark Miller joined Mississippi Highway Patrol Colonel Tadd Pitts and Lt. Colonel James Ivory for the visit.
The meeting provided an opportunity to connect, share resources, and discuss ways to better serve communities across Mississippi, according to a department news release. The department expressed appreciation to Catholic Charities for the invitation and their ongoing commitment to serving others.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and community organizations to improve public safety and support services throughout the state.
