Members of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Special Operations Division, and Major Crimes Division spoke at the Hinds County Citizens Academy earlier this week.
The team provided an overview of various public safety alerts issued by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, including AMBER Alerts, Endangered Missing Child Alerts, Silver Alerts, and Blue Alerts.
Officials emphasized the importance of these alerts in helping to locate missing persons and respond to emergencies. They also highlighted resources available to the community to enhance safety across the state.
Organizers expressed appreciation for the opportunity to educate residents about how these alerts work and how they can assist in keeping Mississippi safe.
