The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is hosting a series of educational programs this fall at its Visitor Education Center. The events include demonstrations on Choctaw culture and flutes, wildlife rehabilitation, and autumn tree identification, according to the department.
The first program is scheduled for Sept. 5 and will feature a Choctaw program with a flute demonstration. A wildlife rehabilitation session is set for Oct. 3. The series concludes with an autumn tree identification program on Oct. 10, in partnership with Mississippi State University Extension.
