The Mississippi Department of Public Safety took part in the 16th Annual Fallen Officer Candlelight Vigil on Sunday, honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the community.
Attending the event were Attorney General Lynn Fitch, members of the Chiefs of Police Association, and the Sheriffs’ Association, according to a statement from the department.
The agency expressed its commitment to support law enforcement and remember the sacrifices made by officers and their families across the state. The department said it will continue to stand behind its law enforcement officers and honor their service.
