The Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Mississippi Capitol Police will host the National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct.. 6, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 2531 N. State Street. It aims to foster better relationships between law enforcement officers and community members.
Attendees will have the chance to meet officers and learn more about their work. The event also offers an opportunity for neighbors to socialize and build community ties, organizers said.
Law enforcement and community leaders encourage residents to attend and participate in the evening’s activities. The event is part of a nationwide effort to promote public safety and community partnerships.
