NEMCC names August Athletes of the Month

Addison Lutz and Raiyen Oatis have been named North East Mississippi Community College’s Athletes of the Month for August, the school announced.

Lutz helped lead the Lady Tigers to a second-place finish at the Freed Speed meet, finishing fourth individually, according to the school.

Oatis made an immediate impact in his debut, returning an interception 30 yards for a touchdown to give the Tigers a lead in their season opener, the school said.

The awards were presented by Booneville’s Guaranty Bank, the school added.
