NEMCC names April Athletes of the Month

Otto Hyche and Chloe Skelton have been named North East Mississippi Community College’s Athletes of the Month for April, presented by Booneville’s Guaranty Bank.

Hyche, a pitcher, posted a 3-1 record in five appearances. He struck out 26 batters and walked seven, with a 2.82 earned run average, according to college officials.

Skelton, a hitter, batted .415 with 11 extra-base hits and 15 RBIs. Her offensive production led the team during the month.

Both athletes were recognized for their performances on and off the field, the college said.
