Northeast Mississippi Community College helps students build futures in nursing
When choosing a college, students select the people who will help shape their futures. For Kamiron Harris of Baldwyn, that started with her advisor, Mary Beth Reeves, at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Together, they developed a plan to help Harris achieve her dream of becoming a nurse. The support continued throughout her Practical Nursing program, with instructors who challenged, encouraged, and cared about her success.
Harris built lifelong friendships, gained hands-on experience by attending nursing conventions across Mississippi, and graduated confident in her career readiness. “Northeast didn’t just prepare me to become a nurse, it made me a better person,” she said.
The college emphasizes that success is a team effort. From initial advising to graduation, students find people invested in helping them reach their goals. Prospective students are encouraged to visit NEMCC.edu to learn more and apply.
