Sheriff’s Department shifts job opening from full-time to part-time weekday dispatcher

The sheriff’s department has revised its job posting for a dispatcher position, shifting from a full-time day shift to a part-time weekday schedule, with an hourly wage of $15, according to department officials.

Applications are being accepted for the part-time dispatcher role. Interested applicants can pick up an application in person at the sheriff’s office or download it from the department’s website at http://www.prentisscountymssheriff.com/plugins/show_image.php?id=593 by clicking the application printout link. The application is also available through the department’s mobile patrol app.

Applicants must submit a copy of their birth certificate, a recent photo, and have the application notarized in several places. Those who previously applied are encouraged to update their applications. Full-time employment offers benefits such as health insurance and participation in the State Retirement System (PERS), department officials said.
