Several Lee County defendants sentenced for narcotics offenses in Mississippi

TUPELO, Miss. — Several defendants in Lee County were sentenced this week for narcotics offenses in First Circuit Court, according to district attorney’s office.

Judge John R. White sentenced Tellie Mairidith, 49, to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of trafficking methamphetamine on Aug. 24. Mairidith will serve 10 years, with five years of post-release supervision. Because of his trafficking conviction, he is ineligible for parole or early release. The North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics investigated his case.

Gregory Vincent Baker, 44, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of selling and possessing methamphetamine on the same day. Judge White sentenced him to 60 years, with 25 years to serve and five years of post-release supervision. His case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.

Corintheis Cullins, 31, pleaded guilty to trafficking methamphetamine on Aug. 26. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with eight years to serve and five years of post-release supervision. Cullins will serve his full sentence without the possibility of parole or early release. His case was also investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.

The district attorney’s office commended the work of the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the cases on behalf of the state.
