Booneville High School graduate Hallie Burns has been named the Sports Illustrated National Pitcher of the Week, according to the publication.
Burns, now a pitcher for Southeastern Louisiana, posted a 2-0 record last week, along with a save. She did not allow a single earned run during her performances, showcasing her dominance on the mound.
