Baldwyn High School students shadow healthcare professionals at Magnolia Regional Health Center

Two Baldwyn High School juniors spent their day shadowing healthcare professionals at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi.

Amar’e Agnew shadowed pediatric nurses in the clinic, expressing gratitude for the experience. He said, “The staff welcomed me with smiling faces and were happy to have me in the rooms. It really opened my eyes and showed me that pediatrics could be a future career for me.”

Emma Tucker observed various radiology procedures, including MRI, CT scans, mammograms, and portable X-rays. She noted, “Today I saw how different imaging machines work and learned about radiology specialties. I especially liked MRI and mammography. Mrs. Amber was very helpful and made me feel comfortable.”

The students’ shadowing experiences provided them with a closer look at medical careers and the healthcare environment, according to their statements.
