Baldwyn School District Students Return to Class Thursday

Students in the Baldwyn School District will return to classes on Thursday, July 30. Buses will be on the road, and some students may walk to school, district officials said.

School transportation safety reminders include the use of yellow flashing lights, which indicate a bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Motorists are advised to slow down and prepare to stop.

Red flashing lights and extended stop arms signal that a bus has stopped and children are boarding or leaving. Drivers must stop and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the stop arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving before proceeding.

Bus routes operate weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and from 2:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., officials said. The first day of school for students is set for Thursday, July 30.
