Grow @ The Depot Returns Thursday with Live Music and Local Vendors

The Grow @ The Depot event returns Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m., offering a space for community members to connect, shop, and enjoy entertainment. The event, which started June 4, aims to bring together growers, makers, and neighbors in a lively outdoor setting, according to organizers.

This week’s highlights include performances by The Kenneth Michael Band, with food options like Chicken Salad Chix and D’Lemonade available for dine-in or takeout. Attendees can also participate in a collaborative art project called “The People In Your Neighborhood.” Participants are encouraged to bring their own food or purchase from vendors and relax in the picnic area.

Vendors are invited to set up without fees, on a first-come, first-served basis. They should bring tables and tents and set up along the track. The market emphasizes supporting local and artisanal products, including fresh produce, handmade crafts, jams, jellies, and baked goods, all produced by vendors themselves.

Organizers say the event fosters community building, supports small businesses, and promotes healthier living. Children and families can enjoy hands-on workshops, live performances, and activities designed for all ages. The event aims to turn simple gatherings into lasting community traditions, according to a statement from organizers.

For those interested in participating as vendors, contact information is available for summer registration. The event encourages local residents to support their community and grow together at The Depot.
