Boat Access Temporarily Limited at Mississippi State Parks During Holiday Events
Boat access at Paul B. Johnson State Park will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3, due to scheduled water activities and holiday events, according to park officials.
At Percy Quin State Park, boat access will be limited throughout July 3 and July 4 because of planned Fourth of July celebrations. Only overnight guests will be permitted lake access and must coordinate with park staff for launch and retrieval times, officials said.
The closures apply only to boat access. Guests can still access the lakes for bank fishing during the restricted periods, authorities added.
