The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) plans to participate in Operation Dry Water during the upcoming Independence Day holiday weekend.
Operation Dry Water is a national initiative aimed at reducing boating under the influence and increasing awareness of water safety. The campaign focuses on removing impaired boat operators from lakes, rivers, and other waterways.
MDWFP will ramp up enforcement efforts, deploying all available conservation officers to patrol Mississippi’s waterways. The agency encourages boaters to prioritize safety and adhere to boating laws during the holiday.
