Five NEMCC athletes named to homecoming court

Five athletes from Northeast Mississippi Community College’s athletic department were recognized on the school’s homecoming court, according to a recent announcement.

The students include Sarah Kate Childs, a cross-country runner; Ava Grace Parada, a cheerleader; Lily Benjamin, who was named homecoming queen and also a cheerleader; Kaylee Estes, a volleyball player; and Landyn McMillan, another cross-country athlete.

School officials congratulated the students for representing the athletic department during the event. The announcement included a photo of the students, with Parada and Benjamin identified as cheerleaders, and the others representing their respective sports.

The homecoming celebration took place at NEMCC, with the court members participating in various events throughout the week. The school’s social media accounts shared the recognition, highlighting the students’ achievements and contributions to campus life.
