Man charged with assault after police respond twice to same residence in Prentiss County

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department responded twice to a residence on County Road 1195 involving the same suspect, according to sheriff’s reports.

The first call involved reports of trespassing and property destruction. Later, deputies were dispatched again after the complainant said the same individual returned and struck them with a vehicle. The incident was captured on camera, authorities said.

Following an investigation, the complainant signed an affidavit, and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest. Jeremy Vincent Stone, 44, of Booneville, was charged with aggravated assault—use of a deadly weapon or other means likely to produce death or serious bodily harm.

Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set bond at $75,000, cash or professional bond only, and issued a no-contact order with the victim. The case will be presented to the Prentiss County Grand Jury by Investigator Torie Jumper.

Assisting in the investigation were Investigator Aaron Stolz and deputies Dennis Peeks and AJ Navarro, according to sheriff’s reports.
