Prentiss County man charged with meth possession after vehicle stop

Prentiss County Constable Bryon Parker stopped a Ford F-150 on County Road 8301 on June 23, 2026, after noticing it sitting in a dangerous spot over a hill. The vehicle had Alabama tags and was parked in the middle of the roadway.

When Parker approached the truck, he found the driver passed out behind the wheel. After waking him, Parker saw a small plastic baggie on the console in plain view. The driver was identified as Jesse Walker Biffle, 44, of Florence, Alabama.

Biffle was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, DUI with other substances, switched tags and obstruction of traffic. Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set his bond at $10,000. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury, authorities said.
