Two Booneville residents charged with weapons possession by felon after traffic stop

Two individuals were arrested following a traffic investigation on East Church Street in Booneville on September 14, 2026, according to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigator Aaron Stolz observed a black Chevrolet S-10 stopped in the roadway and initiated a welfare check. During the investigation, officers recovered a .22-caliber revolver from inside the vehicle, the department said.

The occupants, identified as Zepplin Kennedy, 29, and Maranda Harris, 44, both of Booneville, were found to have prior felony convictions. They were taken into custody and charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, authorities reported.

Judge Ray Hall set bonds for both suspects at $5,000 during an initial appearance. Investigator Stolz will present the case to the next Prentiss County grand jury. Assisting in the case were investigators Torie Jumper and Kolby Knight.
