Mississippi authorities arrest 12 in connection with deputy’s shooting

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced the arrests of 12 individuals related to a shooting on September 7 that resulted in the death of Claiborne County Deputy Terrian Bailey.

The arrests followed an extensive investigation and a coordinated effort among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, officials said. The investigation remains open and ongoing.

All those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, authorities added.
