Mississippi officials announced Tuesday that they have identified the cause of a problem affecting some driver’s licenses. The issue causes licenses not to scan properly at TSA checkpoints and other locations, officials said.
Residents whose licenses are affected are advised to schedule an appointment online for June 23 or later at a nearby Driver Service Bureau. They can receive a replacement license free of charge, according to authorities.
The department apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as they work to resolve the issue. No additional details about the cause of the problem were provided.
