Mississippi driver’s licenses not scanning properly at TSA, agencies

Mississippi officials have identified the cause of a problem affecting some driver’s licenses, which are not scanning properly at TSA checkpoints and other locations, according to a state release.

Residents whose licenses are affected are advised to schedule an appointment online for June 23 or later at a Driver Service Bureau near them. They can receive a replacement license free of charge, officials said.

The state apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as they work to resolve the issue. No further details about the cause of the problem were provided.
