Mississippi will open the application process for the fifth round of grants from the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund on August 3, according to an announcement from Gov. Tate Reeves.
The fund, supported by $15 million appropriated during the 2026 legislative session, aims to support outdoor conservation and recreation projects across the state. The Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund Board of Trustees will begin accepting applications next week, the governor’s office said.
Reeves emphasized the importance of preserving Mississippi’s natural beauty. Details on application requirements and deadlines have not been released, but the trust fund seeks to fund projects that promote outdoor recreation and conservation efforts in the state.
