Mississippi, Louisiana law enforcement team up for Ole Miss–LSU game day
OXFORD, Miss. — Law enforcement agencies from Mississippi and Louisiana are working together to ensure safety during the Ole Miss–LSU football game in Oxford.
Commissioner Sean Tindell of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety swore in Louisiana State Troopers, who will assist Mississippi officers throughout the event, according to a news release from MDPS.
Personnel from MDPS, Louisiana State Police, and Oxford Police have been briefed and are prepared to work together to keep fans, students, and visitors safe during the game day festivities, the release said.
Officials encouraged attendees to enjoy the game, be vigilant, and look out for one another. No incidents were reported as of Tuesday morning.
