The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced that the draw application period for the 2026 public waters alligator season will open June 1 and close June 12.
The season is scheduled to run from noon on August 28 to noon on September 7, according to department officials.
All applications for the season will now be submitted through the MDWFP Hunt Fish License System. Officials recommend that hunters create an account in the new system before the draw period begins.
