Mississippi wildlife officials teach kids about alligators at Wesson Library

Andrew Arnett, coordinator of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Alligator Program, visited Wesson Library to educate children about native alligators. During the program, kids learned about alligator behavior, habitat, diet, and their role in ecosystems.

Arnett brought a live alligator to the event, allowing attendees to see the reptile up close. He explained the work MDWFP does to conserve and manage alligators across Mississippi.

The event aimed to increase awareness of local wildlife and the importance of conservation efforts in the state.
