Northeast Mississippi Community College announced the promotion of Ryan Wesson to full-time assistant baseball coach. Wesson has served as a volunteer for the last four seasons, according to the college.
During his time with the program, Wesson set the school record for most career strikeouts with 143. He is also among the top three in career earned run average at 3.09 and ranks third in wins with 12, the college said.
The promotion was celebrated by school officials, who credited Wesson’s contributions to the team’s success. Wesson’s familiarity with the program and his achievements on the field helped secure his new role, the college added.
