North East Mississippi Community College’s Daniel Sherman was named to Mississippi Gridiron’s Team of the Week following the Tigers’ week two win over Southwest.
Sherman contributed significantly to the team’s field position, landing five of six punts inside the 20-yard line and averaging 47 yards per punt, according to the college.
The recognition highlights Sherman’s special teams performance during the game, which helped the Tigers improve their standing early in the season.
The team posted a victory in the game, boosting their record and morale as they continue their season.
