Northeast Mississippi Community College honors Raina Michael with Northeast Way Award
Raina Michael, an administrative assistant for event planning and housing at Northeast Mississippi Community College, has been named this month’s Northeast Way Award recipient.
The award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to foster a welcoming and supportive environment, according to college officials. Her nomination highlights her consistent friendliness, noting that she “always goes above and beyond to help anyone” and maintains a positive attitude “24/7.”
Her kindness leaves a lasting impression on students, who say she makes their experience easier and is willing to assist beyond her departmental duties. One student said, “She will also help you find who else you need to talk to in other areas.”
Students describe her as approachable and helpful, with one noting, “If I ever need anything, I know I can go to her office and she will either help me fix it or get me to the right person.”
