Police Chief Jason Jackson and Assistant Chief Melissa Pearson of Northeast Mississippi Community College visited Burnsville Middle School to engage with 7th and 8th grade students.
The officers talked about what it takes to pursue a career in law enforcement and shared advice on how students can start preparing now for a future in the field, according to NEMCC.
The visit aimed to inspire students and provide insight into law enforcement careers, the college said.
