Prentiss County deputies arrest three juveniles in vehicle break-in spree

Prentiss County deputies arrested three juvenile males following a string of vehicle burglaries and an attempted residential break-in, authorities said.

The investigation started after deputies received reports of vehicles being broken into and an attempted break-in at a local home. Deputies Dennis Peeks and Rusty McCoy responded to the initial reports and followed leads provided by residents, according to the sheriff’s department.

The deputies tracked the suspects to a home on County Road 2291, where they arrested two juveniles and recovered stolen property. The recovered evidence led investigators to identify additional vehicle break-ins that residents had not yet reported.

Subsequently, authorities located and arrested a third juvenile male. All three face multiple charges, including four counts of vehicle burglary, attempted residence burglary, and several misdemeanor charges, sheriff’s officials said.

Investigator Torie Jumper led the case, with assistance from Investigator Aaron Stolz and school resource officers Brandon Slack and Ridge Lawson. The sheriff’s department believes there may be more victims and encourages residents near Highway 365 and County Road 2291 to contact officials if they notice missing items.
