The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks has announced that Tippah County Lake in Ripley, Mississippi, is closed until further notice.
The closure comes after an ice storm caused damage to the lake, making it unsafe for boating and fishing activities, according to MDWFP officials.
Staff members are currently assessing the extent of the damage and working to restore access. The department said the public will be notified once the lake reopens.
