Baldwyn High School senior Alyson McCarthy spent the day shadowing sonographers at Tupelo OBGYN, according to a news release from the clinic.
McCarthy expressed enthusiasm about the experience, saying, “They did an awesome job explaining everything to me and allowing me to get a better idea of what my future could look like. I learned so much about what goes on behind the scenes and how important sonographers are in patient care.”
She added that the experience increased her interest in pursuing a career in sonography. The clinic thanked her for her visit and said she gained valuable insight into the profession.
McCarthy is a senior at Baldwyn High School and is considering a career in medical imaging, the release said.
