Baldwyn School District posts meal, cheer, golf and Veterans Day updates

Meal applications tied to free school meals

Baldwyn School District said all students are able to eat breakfast and lunch meals free for the 2026-27 school year, but the district said there are requirements in place for that benefit to continue. The district asked families who have not completed the 2026-27 Baldwyn School District Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application to do so.

According to the district, the applications help meet the requirements for the meal benefit and also support federally funded programs. The post did not list a deadline.

Cheer camp schedule

The district said cheer camp began Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the elementary school gym. Baldwyn School District said elementary school girls in kindergarten through fourth grade were to be dismissed to the gym at the end of the school day.

The district also said middle school girls in grades 5-6 could ride Bus 29 to the elementary school. Cheer camp was also scheduled to continue Friday, Oct. 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym, with girls dismissed and meeting back at the BHS football field at 6:30 p.m. to perform.

Golf team qualifies for state

Baldwyn School District said the BHS Golf Team finished first in the Region 1-2A Golf Tournament and shot a 317. The district said Gavin Gamble was medalist with a score of 74, and the team qualified for the state tournament.

Veterans Day program announced

The district also posted a save-the-date notice for the 2026 BHS Veterans Day Program. Baldwyn School District said the program will be in the BHS Gym at 11 a.m. and that everyone is invited to attend.
