Damage assessments in Mississippi are ongoing as county and municipal officials inspect homes, businesses, and public infrastructure affected by severe weather and flooding. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) reports that hundreds of structures and roads have been impacted.

So far, officials have documented damage to 486 homes, seven businesses, three farms, 70 public roads, two bridges, three public buildings, and six nonprofit utility facilities. Among the homes, 116 were destroyed, 134 sustained major damage, 147 minor damage, and 89 were affected. These figures are expected to rise as assessments continue, according to MEMA.
