The donation site is at 1207 Mississippi Street in Jackson.
The Salvation Army has distributed 600 cleanup kits across impacted areas, including Picayune, Wiggins, and Biloxi. Meanwhile, counties have submitted damage reports to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. Damage ranges from affected to destroyed, with totals expected to change as assessments continue.
Hancock County reports 21 homes, one farm, five roads, and one bridge damaged. Harrison County reports 183 homes, nine businesses, and eight roads affected. Other counties, such as Pearl River and Stone, also report multiple homes and infrastructure damages. Assessments are ongoing in Forrest, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, and Walthall counties.
Residents urged to take action if they have sustained damage. They should file insurance claims, photograph damages, and report losses via the MEMA self-report tool. Immediate unmet needs should be directed to local emergency management agencies. Contact information for county agencies is available on the MEMA website.
