Baldwyn High School student shadows occupational therapist at Corinth clinic
Baldwyn High School junior Leighanna Allen recently shadowed a pediatric occupational therapist at Anchor Rehabilitation in Corinth, according to a school post.
Allen described her experience as positive, noting the hands-on nature of the work and the staff’s kindness. She observed various tasks performed with patients to help children develop physical, cognitive, sensory, and social skills necessary for daily life.
“I had an amazing experience at Anchor,” Allen said. “I enjoyed seeing how they adjust to each patient and appreciated how they explained their work. This opportunity is helping me confirm my career interests.”
The post thanked the staff at Anchor Rehabilitation for their guidance and support during her shadowing experience. The school shared her appreciation for the opportunity and her enthusiasm for pursuing a future in pediatric therapy.
