Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office Searching for Mistakenly Released Inmate
The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a inmate that was mistakenly released from the county jail.
Shaun Franklin Reed, 34, was mistakenly released after appearing before the Justice Court to receive time removed from his sentence for community service. However, Reed was mistakenly allowed to leave when he returned to the jail, despite multiple pending felony charges.

“The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an inmate that was mistakenly released from the Prentiss County Jail earlier today. Shaun Franklin Reed 34 of the Booneville area had been to Justice Court earlier in the day and given credit for time served on several misdemeanor charges. When he was returned to the jail from court, he was mistakenly released. Reed had several felony charges pending. Reed is described as a White Male 34 years old, 6’3″ tall weighing 195 lbs. He was wearing a gray tee shirt and blue jeans when he left the jail.
