Man charged with molestation of 5-year-old in Prentiss County

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department received a report Sunday regarding the inappropriate touching of a five-year-old child, according to authorities.

Following an investigation, Preston Jeremiah Thomas, 18, of Booneville, was charged with two counts of molestation for touching a child for lustful purposes, sheriff’s officials said.

Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop set Thomas’s bond at $150,000. The case will be presented to a Prentiss County grand jury by Investigator Torie Jumper.

Assisting in the investigation were investigators Aaron Stolz and Kolby Knight, along with Deputy Dennis Peeks, sheriff’s officials added.
