Man charged with bad checks in Prentiss County
Prentiss County authorities have charged Brian Lee Jones of Walnut, Mississippi, with two counts of issuing bad checks, following an investigation by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy A.J. Navarro received the initial report after the victim said they received two bad checks totaling $4,185.82. The victim provided affidavits, leading to the issuance of warrants for Jones’s arrest.
Jones was taken into custody, and Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set his bond at $20,000. The case is scheduled to be presented to the next Prentiss County grand jury, according to officials.
Investigators Torie Jumper and Aaron Stolz assisted in the investigation, along with Investigator Kolby Knight, who will present the case to the grand jury, authorities said.
