Mississippi State Parks Host July 4th Celebrations with Fireworks and Activities

Seven Mississippi state parks are hosting events to celebrate Independence Day, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. The parks include Buccaneer State Park, Roosevelt State Park, Paul B. Johnson State Park, Percy Quin State Park, Clarkco State Park, Trace State Park, and John Kyle State Park.

Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming and fishing during the day. In the evening, the parks will feature fireworks displays, live entertainment, and family activities, the department said.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the festivities. The department promoted the events as a way to celebrate freedom, family, and the outdoors this Independence Day.
