Mississippi State Parks to Host Seven Major Fourth of July Celebrations

Mississippi State Parks will host seven major Fourth of July celebrations this year, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.

Participating parks include Buccaneer State Park, Roosevelt State Park, Paul B. Johnson State Park, Percy Quin State Park, Clarkco State Park, Trace State Park, and John Kyle State Park. Each location will offer its own unique Independence Day experience, with events beginning Friday, July 3, and continuing through Saturday, July 4.

Activities are designed for all ages and aim to provide a festive atmosphere for families and visitors. In addition to the main celebrations, all Mississippi State Parks will host smaller, relaxed America 250 events, making it easy for residents and visitors to participate across the state.

The department encourages people to plan a day of fun, outdoor activity, and patriotic celebration at one of its parks. More details and event listings are available at mdwfp.com/america250.
