Booneville woman arrested on felony drug charges

A Booneville woman was recently arrested on felony drug charges.

From the Tishomingo County Sheriffs Office:

On June 8, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a safety checkpoint at the intersection of CR 961 and HWY 30 in the Paden area.  During the checkpoint, a vehicle approached the deputies and as the deputies were speaking with the driver, the driver attempted to discard two bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on the ground.  The deputies retrieved the bags and placed the driver under arrest and transported the driver to the Tishomingo County Jail.

RACHEAL MOCABY, 38-year-old, white female, of 65 CR 2231 Booneville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE)FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE.  MOCABY remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail, awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
